Bruklyn Builders Inc has filed permits to convert a two-story commercial building into a five-story mixed-use building at 1374 Myrtle Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Himrod Street and Harman Street, the lot is steps from the Knickerbocker Avenue subway station, serviced by the M train.

The development is proposed to yield 25,349 square feet, with 20,274 square feet designated for residential space, 4,658 square feet for commercial space, and 416 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 30 residences with an average unit size of 675 square feet.

The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and eight open parking spaces.

David Halberstam of Bruklyn Builders Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications, and Baobab Architects is listed as the architect of record.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.
