New High Line Moynihan Connector Construction Progresses in Midtown West, Manhattan

The High Line Moynihan Connector, a new extension of the High Line in Midtown West, is nearing completion. The $50 million project is a collaboration between Empire State Development, Friends of the High Line, and Brookfield Properties and has been designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and James Corner Field Operations.

The walkway comprises two 600-foot-long bridges that are ADA-accessible, providing easier access to Moynihan Train Hall and Penn Station. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the project, which runs along West 30th Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues and turns to the north at Dyer Avenue to connect to the elevated southwestern corner of the Manhattan West plaza above West 31st Street.

The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line in Manhattan, New York City. It spans 1.45 miles and features gardens, art installations, and seating areas for visitors to enjoy. The park offers views of the city skyline and has become a popular tourist destination.
